Some weddings seem to glow from the inside out, and the Lents-Hannon wedding ceremony and reception at The Heirloom at N.K. Hurst was one of those unforgettable days where every detail, moment, and emotion came together beautifully. Located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis, The Heirloom created a warm and elevated backdrop for a wedding designed with intention and executed with care. Through thoughtful planning, exceptional catering, and dedicated service, Crystal Signature Events brought Ericka and Brian’s vision to life.

A Venue with Character and Heart

Known for its airy industrial architecture and modern warmth, The Heirloom offers versatility that suits a wide range of wedding styles. For Ericka and Brian, it served as the perfect canvas for a celebration centered on connection and atmosphere. From morning preparations in the venue’s bridal suite to the sparkler exit on McCarty Street, the space supported each chapter of the day with comfort and style. Guests enjoyed a seamless progression from ceremony to cocktail hour to dinner, all within the venue’s naturally cohesive layout.

Thoughtful Planning for a Seamless Celebration

At Crystal Signature Events, our goal is to create celebrations that feel effortless for guests and deeply personal for our couples. Our team coordinated rentals, timelines, service, and menu. The schedule flowed with purpose, beginning with the ceremony, followed by cocktail hour, a plated dinner, meaningful speeches, and a lively night of music and dancing.

Design choices enhanced the natural beauty of The Heirloom. Our in-house farm tables and vineyard cross-back chairs offered a relaxed, curated aesthetic. Rented white Sahara runners, dusty wedgewood linens, and blue Carousel goblets added character while keeping the overall look timeless. Candlelit votives and pastel florals at every table created an intimate glow that carried through the evening.

The result was an atmosphere that felt cohesive and inviting, perfectly aligned with the couple’s vision.

Cocktail Hour: A Warm and Welcoming Transition

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a cocktail hour centered around The Heirloom’s signature wine wall. House Cabernet and Chardonnay were displayed on elegant gold shelving and offered a self-serve experience that became both functional and visually striking.

Crystal’s culinary team welcomed guests with a selection of passed hors d’oeuvres, including:

• Bang Bang Shrimp Skewers with pickled cucumber
• Peppered Beef Crostini with mascarpone and red pepper chutney
• Caprese Skewers finished with balsamic drizzle

These offerings set the tone for a refined yet approachable dining experience.

A Plated Dinner Designed to Impress

Dinner service began with a vibrant Arugula Salad featuring roasted beets, mandarin oranges, fennel, goat cheese, and pumpkin seeds with a sweet white balsamic vinaigrette. Warm rolls accompanied the course.

Guests then selected from two curated plated entrées:

• Herb-Crusted Frenched Chicken served with white wine sauce, broccolini, and horseradish and cracked pepper mashed potatoes
• Roasted Cauliflower Steak with poblano romesco, chili crisp vinaigrette, and edamame

Both entrées were plated with care and offered a balance of texture and flavor. Dietary accommodations were addressed thoughtfully to ensure every guest had an enjoyable meal.

During entrée service, the bride and groom stepped outside for sunset photographs, timed so the overall flow of the evening continued smoothly.

A Sweet and Memorable Twist

Rather than a traditional cake, the couple opted for a Handel’s Ice Cream station. The custom cart and digital flavor display added a fun and personal element to the evening. This choice reflected the couple’s playful side and delighted guests of all ages.

Later in the night, guests enjoyed a late-night snack of HotBox Pizza served near the dance floor. Espresso martinis were also offered at the bar, and two trays were served and provided for the bride and groom to share with guests. This created a memorable and interactive moment near the end of the celebration.

Dancing, Music, and Lasting Memories

Live music provided by The Doo! kept the dance floor full from the moment it opened. A premium bar package featuring wine, beer, and handcrafted cocktails supported the lively atmosphere throughout the evening.

The night concluded with a sparkler exit, lighting a joyful path for Ericka and Brian as they exited surrounded by family and friends. This moment provided a beautiful finale to an already unforgettable day.
